When James Zanasiu, Zachary Johnson, and the rest of his team checked an abandoned laboratory, Wayne Anthony discovered the bodies of Dr. Cass and seemingly Johnson Zenarchis. It appeared that Cass lost his life killing Zenarchis.
However, it was later revealed that the deceased person was a body double of Zenarchis, for the originals safety.

- It's possible that Steven Cass is related to Gregory Cass, a college student who was killed in his attempts to bring down Dragonstorm.
- During Survival of the Fittest, a technician incorrectly referred to this character as Dr. Brian Cass.
