Nguyen was one of the men who worked for Ricky in 1990.

Nguyen was given an assignment to travel to China and steal something from a Chinese Naval Base. During James' team's infiltration of Ricky's operation, Nguyen traveled to the "ITG" for his Chinese mission, Cale followed him and discovered it was a rudimentary Einstein-Rosen Bridge.
It is unknown if Nguyen was successful in his mission, as Ricky, in his haste to escape, chose not to waste precious time retrieving Nguyen from China. (Pavlov's Checkmate)
